Megan Fox Slammed For Mocking ‘Infantile’ SAG-AFTRA Halloween Costume Ban

A couple of weeks ago, the Screen Actors Guild – American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (SAG-AFTRA) warned actors to only dress up as “characters from non-struck content” or as “generalized characters and figures (ghost, zombie, spider, etc)” for Halloween.

What that meant was they didn’t want their members, like, for example, Megan Fox, to wear any costume depicting a character from a film or TV show owned by a Hollywood studio.

Despite SAG-AFTRA having been on strike for around 100 days, many famous folks found their Halloween costume directive to be a little silly.

“THIS is what you guys come up with? Literally no one cares what anyone wears for Halloween,” veteran actress Melissa Gilbert wrote on Instagram. “I mean, do you really think this kind of infantile stuff is going to end the strike? We look like a joke.”

“Is this a joke? Come on @sagaftra. This is what’s important?” singer/actress Mandy Moore also wrote on her Instagram Stories.

Following the backlash, SAG-AFTRA tried to clarify, writing, “SAG-AFTRA issued Halloween guidance in response to questions from content creators and members about how to support the strike during this festive season. This was meant to help them avoid promoting struck work, and it is the latest in a series of guidelines we have issued. It does not apply to anyone’s kids.”

Apparently, that wasn’t good enough for another actress, Megan Fox, who along with her partner Machine Gun Kelly, headed out to the Casamigos Halloween party dressed as characters from Kill Bill.

Not only that, Megan Fox also tagged “@sagaftra” in an Instagram post showing off her costume.

That set off another actress, Lisa Ann Walter of Abbott Elementary, who lost her dang mind on X (formerly Twitter).

“What a rebel,” Walter wrote. “Keep posturing for stupid s—, pretty lady.

“Meanwhile we’ll be working 10 hours a day – unpaid – to get basic contract earners a fair deal.

“(PS-the post responded members questions. No one cares about kids’ costumes. Just high pros at fancy parties. Like Megan.)”

Others also weighed in, commenting on Fox’s Instagram post.

“Why is she being defiant to a group that’s literally fighting for her to make a fair wage?” one person asked.

“Yes girl give it to your union trying to get better wages and benefits for lesser known people than u!” someone else wrote sarcastically.

Hey, Megan Fox can’t help it if she’s as big of an edgelord as her partner is.
