Presented in partnership with Natty Light…

If you’ve gone to college in the past couple of decades, there’s a very good chance you’re currently swimming in debt thanks to a system that expects 18-year-olds to understand the long-term implications of taking out tens of thousands of dollars to get a degree.

As of last month, Americans collectively had over $1.5 trillion in outstanding student loans and a report published last year says more and more people regret ever taking them out in the first place as they struggle to repay.

The average millennial is in the hole $32,000 and some people have simply resigned themselves to the fact that they’re going to be in debt for the rest of their lives.

In recent years, there’s been a national debate concerning student loan forgiveness but it doesn’t appear the slate will be wiped clean anytime soon.

Thankfully, there’s a new way to get out of the red courtesy of Natural Light.

Last year, my faithful college companion announced it would be giving away $1 million to help people across the country erase their student loans— but they’re not stopping there.

Natty Light recently revealed it will be pledging an additional $10 million over the next decade to continue its mission to help people saddled with student loans take some weight off their shoulders.

This year, the brand will be giving away a collective $1 million to over 70 lucky individuals in an attempt to put a tiny dent in the aforementioned $1.5 trillion.

If you want a chance to get in on the action, you’ll have to put together a video explaining why you wanted to go to college in the first place and post it on Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram with the hashtags #NattyStories and #Contest.

Here’s a winner from last year if you’re looking for some inspiration.

The only real catch is that you’ll need to get your hands on one of the limited-edition green beer tabs that have been produced for the contest and show it off in the video (if you can’t track down any cans you can always print out one of your own).

Natty will also be celebrating Super Bowl LIII by giving away a total of $53,000 to 151 people who make a video outlining their plans for the game. Each winner will receive $351 through Cash App, which is enough to cover the average monthly student loan payment.

I’m glad we finally have an alternative to that dystopian game show.
