Ronda Rousey’s Interview With Mike Golic Got PAINFULLY Awkward When He Asked Her About MMA

YouTube

Ronda Rousey talks about her MMA career like a jilted lover talks about an ex whose found someone better looking than them. Rousey went from UFC women’s bantamweight champion, cultural icon, and branding cash cow to a punchline after getting knocked out by Amanda Nunes in 48 seconds after Holly Holm handed her her first defeat.

The 31-year-old Rousey is looking to put her MMA fighting days behind her, as she has entered the fake wrestling realm of the WWE. She is scheduled to make her in-ring debut at next month’s WrestleMania 34. While Rousey hasn’t officially retired from MMA, it’s become clear that her abilities in the octagon have somewhat betrayed her, and it has taken a toll on her psyche.

Rousey appeared on ESPN Radio’s Golic and Wingo show this morning when Golic attempted to ask her about her MMA career. Her annoyance with the question was only exacerbated when Golic asked her about ‘going back in time.’ Check it out below.

The transcript of this segment of the interview…

Golic: Let’s go back and start when you knew from the MMA when you were done there. When you knew in your mind, “I’m not going to fight anymore?”

Rousey: I never said that.

Golic: Ah, so there is a possibility that you could go back in time?

Rousey: There’s a possibility that I could go back in time? That’s your question to me?

Golic: Go back in time, and fight. Go back in the octagon.

Rousey: I do not have the ability to go back in time, no.

Golic: Would you fight again?

Rousey: I don’t know.

Here’s the full interview.

The anti-drug people gave him a $50 savings bond for his brave contribution to crime-fighting, and upon the bond’s maturity 10 years later, he used it to buy his very first bag of marijuana.
