Willem Dafoe Is Acting Cheeky As Hell When Asked About ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’

As things currently stand, we’re just a little over four months away from the release of Spider-Man: No Way Home and we still don’t know a damn thing about it. Well, that’s not entirely true — thanks to the release of various t-shirts and toys, we know Spider-Man is going to be equipped with some sort of crazy Doctor Strange tech suit. We also know that both Alfred Molina’s Doc Ock and Jamie Foxx’s Electro are set to appear. But other than that, details surrounding No Way Home remain a secret. Just ask Willem Dafoe.

During a recent interview, Dafoe — who famously played Norman Osborne / Green Goblin in the original 2002 film — was asked whether or not he, too, would be appearing in the film alongside the other ghosts of Spider-Mans past. Unfortunately for fans, though, Dafoe’s answer was about as revealing as the still non-existent trailer.

When asked if his comment on his potential involvement in “No Way Home” would just actually be “no comment” Dafoe said, “I’m afraid so.”

“I got lots of stuff happening now. And, you know, I always feel like when a film comes out, that’s when it’s time to talk about it,” Dafoe added. [via The Wrap]

This certainly isn’t the first time that Dafoe has played coy when it comes to his potential role in Spider-Man: No Way Home. Back in June, Dafoe, when asked about what other movies he’s got coming out this year, said “The other things I’ve been doing lately, I prefer to wait till we’re ready for them to come out.”

At this time, Spider-Man: No Way Home is scheduled to hit theaters in the United States on Friday, December 17. However, given the recent three-week delay of Venom: Let There Be Carnage, so fans are worried that another slew of movie delays is on the horizon. Fingers crossed that’s not the case.
