Taco Bell fast food restaurant. Taco Bell specializes in Mexican-inspired food, including tacos, burritos, and quesadillas.
It can be easy to lose your patience if you’re forced to wait an inordinate amount of time after placing an order at a restaurant. However, one woman in Maryland went a bit too far after getting fed up with how long she was forced to wait at a Taco Bell she’s no longer allowed at after flashing a gun at employees.
Most people who decide to eat at a fast food restaurant expect it to live up to that moniker, and the companies that oversee those chains devote a ton of time, money, and resources to make sure they’re well-oiled machines capable of doing exactly that.
However, there’s only so much they can do to prevent certain variables from coming into play to gum up the works, whether it’s an influx of orders, issues with equipment, a short-staffed shift, or employees who are not particularly motivated by the minimum wage salary they usually receive for working there.
Those workers also have to deal with plenty of customers who are not satisfied with the speed behind the counter regardless of how smoothly things are actually running. It’s unclear whether or not a woman who recently got fed up with waiting at a Taco Bell in Maryland had a legitimate gripe, but it is pretty clear she went the wrong route when it came to trying to settle the dispute.
Police in Maryland arrested a woman who allegedly flashed a gun at Taco Bell employees over a slow order
In my experience, Taco Bell tends to be a bit hit-or-miss when it comes to how long you have to end up waiting for your food, but I can’t say I’ve ever had to suppress the urge to threaten violence over a lengthy delay.
According to ABC7, a customer who headed up a location in Chester, Maryland this month was unable to do exactly that based on what the Queen Anne’s County Office of the Sheriff says unfolded there on Thursday, June 18th.
The customer in question, identified as 30-year-old Ashley Andrews, reportedly started beefing with Taco Bell employees because she thought her order was taking too long to prepare, which led to her telling them to “meet her outside in the parking lot” before lifting her shirt and grabbing the handle of the gun she brandished.
Police say they reviewed video footage that confirmed the testimony of the workers who were threatened, and Andrews was arrested and charged with second-degree assault, handgun on person, disturbing the peace/disorderly conduct, and reckless endangerment.
She will also not have to worry about being subjected to a lengthy wait at that Taco Bell again, as she was banned from the premises under threat of additional trespassing charges.
