Brave Mother Deemed A Hero After Saving Her 5-Year-Old Son From Mountain Lion Attack

The animal kingdom has pretty much had enough of our shit. They’ve reached the boiling point and declared war on humans. Especially little kids, who are more easily to dispose of. It all started with Harambe the gorilla in the Cincinnati Zoo whipping a 4-year-old boy around his enclosure. Then this week an alligator killed a 2-year-old boy at a lake at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa. Now a mountain lion has joined the animals vs. humans war by attempting to take out a small boy.

A 5-year-old boy was playing outside with his older brother on Friday night at his home, which is about 10 miles away from Aspen, Colorado. All of the sudden the young lad screamed, thrusting the mother into action. Mom ran outside and saw her son being attacked by a mountain lion.

The mother “had to physically remove the lion’s paws from her son’s face,” sheriff’s spokesman Alex Burchetta told PEOPLE.

She scared off the beast, but the boy was injured from the attack.

Around 8 p.m., the boy’s father drove him to the hospital. The boy had injuries on his face, head and neck. The child was transferred in fair condition to a Denver hospital.

The Mother of the Year candidate mother had minor injuries on her hand and legs and was admitted to Aspen Valley Hospital. She has since been released.

The moral of the story is that cougars can beat mountain lions in a fight.
