Fox Sports 1 personality Nick Wright has labeled controversial New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers as the most disingenuous athlete of his lifetime.

Speaking on an episode of the daily Fox Sports morning talk show First Things First, the 39-year-old Wright detailed all of the ways in which Rodgers has displayed his disingenuousness in recent years.

“You were disingenuous about the vaccine, that was annoying. Not that status, the way you did it. You were disingenuous about your retirement status, 90 percent retired. You were disingenuous about coming out of the dark room. I’m going to play for the Packers, that was my only goal,” Wright said about Rodgers.

“You were disingenuous about how well Verizon works in southern California. You were then disingenuous about whether or not you wanted Randall Cobb, Allen Lazard and Tim Boyle on your team or if Joe Douglas is just quite simply the worst talent evaluator in NFL history. You were disingenuous about why [Nathaniel] Hackett is now the offensive coordinator.”

Wright then concluded by saying Rodgers was disingenuous about his comeback from his Achilles injury, which the former MVP recently admitted he was never actually serious about and that it “was a joke.”

“You’re now disingenuous about your own comeback, which you were disingenuous about the entire time,” Wright said.

Wright’s comments are obviously a bit outlandish, as former Buffalo Bills running back OJ Simpson has been lying about murdering his wife for over 25 years, which is definitely more disingenuous than whatever Rodgers has spewed during his therapy sessions on The Pat McAfee Show.

Despite how often Rodgers finds himself on-camera and making headlines, he’s actually yet to complete an official pass as a member of the New York Jets as he tore his Achilles just four snaps in the 2023 season.

Rodgers’ Jets will close out the 2023 season — the franchise’s 13th straight year without a postseason appearance, the longest drought in American professional sports — with a Thursday Night Football matchup against the Cleveland Browns before closing out the year with a game against Bill Belichick and the New England Patriots.
