The Texas Longhorns fell to the Georgia Bulldogs in Austin on Saturday, struggling offensively to find consistency. Due to an inability to move the football, Steve Sarkisian turned to freshman signal caller Arch Manning midway through the action.

Unfortunately, his youngster couldn’t provide a spark, as the ‘Horns eventually turned to Ewers once again. While on the sidelines, the passer unintentionally recreated a forgettable Eli Manning photo!

Arch looked like many freshmen would when facing a vaunted Bulldogs defense. He completed three of his six attempts for 19 yards, failing to lead the offense on a scoring drive.

He had no answers for the Georgia attack. He appeared befuddled on the bench!

It was a face familiar to the Manning family.

Many times throughout his NFL career, Arch’s uncle, Eli, looked dazed and confused on the sidelines.

He’s continuing the Manning legacy!

Steve Sarkisian was asked about the changeup under center after his temporary benching of Quinn Ewers. He said he was just giving his starter a break following a frustrating start to the contest.

“I was just trying to settle Quinn down a little bit, try to give us a little bit of a spark,” Sarkisian said. “We’ve got to get out of our own way. We’re not playing very good as a unit right now. That God our defense is putting out some fires for us… Quinn’s our starting quarterback.”

Arch Manning was unable to provide some of that patented Eli magic on Saturday in his brief appearance, therefore quieting any whispers of a quarterback controversy. Texas suffered its first defeat of the season, dropping the Longhorns from the top spot in the AP Poll and the SEC standings.
