The long-awaited debut of Arch Manning taking meaningful snaps and having the opportunity to throw the ball for the Texas Longhorns came on Friday night in the team’s 57-7 demolition of Texas Tech.

The stats won’t necessarily hop off the page at you, but he looked impressive nonetheless.

People were psyched to see him play. He’s spent most of the year third on the depth chart behind starter Quinn Ewers and backup.

“Arch Manning didn’t just get hyped because of his name. Sure, this is extremely premature… but he clearly has some arm talent with zip on the ball. He also appears to be a serious threat with his legs,” @CFBRep said on Twitter

“Arch got wheels AND a cannon, we’re in good hands yall,” @MikeThompson83 said.

“Shout out to young Arch, that drive showed his good hands. I can’t wait til he has the keys to the field 🤘🏾,” 42Terrantino said

This may be all we get of Arch Manning this year. The 11–1 Longhorns will play in next week’s Big 12 Championship Game with a potential berth in the College Football Playoff on the line. Their opponent next week will be determined on Saturday.
