The Tampa Bay Buccaneers find themselves in a period of transition as they prepare for the 2023 NFL season without their legendary quarterback, Tom Brady.

While the Buccaneers have signed Baker Mayfield to help fill the void, one player within the organization remains hopeful that the team hasn’t given up on Brady just yet.

During an appearance on The Richard Sherman Podcast, Buccaneers’ defensive back Antoine Winfield Jr. shared his belief that the team’s front office is actively pursuing Brady’s potential return from retirement.

“I’m sure we’re still reaching out to him, trying to see if he’s willing to come back to the team,” Winfield said. “Hey, it could happen. Anything’s possible.”

Brady’s previous actions suggest that he might be open to another comeback. Having previously come out of retirement, many within the football community believe that the door is still ajar for the seven-time Super Bowl champion to make a return.

Last year, Brady surprised many when he announced his retirement, only to reverse course a few months later and rejoin the league.

Winfield himself admitted to being taken aback by Brady’s decision to return after initially declaring his retirement. “When he first said he retired, I genuinely believed that he was done,” Winfield confessed. “He surprised me when he came back.”

During the 2022 season, Brady defied age expectations by playing in all 17 games and delivering impressive numbers at the age of 45.

He amassed almost 4,700 passing yards and threw for 25 touchdowns. Despite the continued speculation surrounding his retirement, Brady has made it clear that he is committed to this decision.

Meanwhile, until we hear otherwise, Tom Brady will reportedly continue to flirting with A-List celebrates.
