Colin Cowherd made some extremely vague yet still bold accusations about New England Patriots quarterback Mac Jones this week.

Speaking on his radio show The Herd with Colin Cowherd on Thursday, the 59-year-old said that he’s “heard some things about Mac Jones and they’re not good.”

Strangely, however, Cowherd did not elaborate on what those things are.

“J-Mac and I are not going to talk about it on the air because we don’t want to yet,” Cowherd said.

“You just alluded to it, we’re not going to get into the specifics. We’re just hearing stuff that isn’t great. Is that fair?” Cowherd asked as he looked at his co-host.

His co-host, however, asked to not be put on camera while responding to that question and suggested they change the subject.

Cowherd’s comments about Jones come after the third-year Patriots quarterback was caught on camera taking a swipe at the private parts of New York Jets cornerback Sauce Gardner.

While it’s obviously unclear what Cowherd is referring to, Jones certainly seems to have developed a reputation as a dirty player among league circles.

“He stay doin dirty s—!!” Eagles cornerback Darius Slay tweeted in response to Gardner’s video of Jones.

“Nothing new,” Bears safety Jaquan Brisker.

Even Chris Long, a former New England Patriots, took shots at Jones.

“Top 5 Dirtiest QB all time. When you’ve got a track record ppl stop giving u the benefit of the doubt,” Long tweeted.

“Mac is a repeat offender. He’s the one that needs to be fined IMO,” former kicker Lawrence Tynes said.

According to a recent report from the Boston Globe, even current members of the Patriots organization are becoming frustrated with Jones’ apparently dirty play.

Even those inside the Patriots family acknowledge that Jones seems to find himself in these situations more than most, and he needs to cut it out.

“There’s a lot of players that have played this game, and they’re not involved in any of these things,” former Patriot Devin McCourty said Wednesday.

Last year, during the 2022 season, Jones accounted for three of the six fines that the NFL handed out to quarterbacks for on-field conduct, totaling $32,357 in penalties.

This weekend, Jones the Patriots will be heading down to Dallas to take on the Cowboys.
