Colin Kaepernick recently got word that the NFL will hold a tryout for him to show teams that he’s still a viable option at quarterback. Now, whether or not that’s sincere by the league is up for debate, as well as whether or not many franchises will even attend the tryout given the timing of it being on a Saturday. However, at least it’s an opportunity for the former San Francisco 49ers signal-caller to get in front of interested teams.

But which team will actually sign Colin Kaepernick? While there has been plenty of speculation, nobody knows for sure if an opportunity even exists; but that won’t stop Vegas from creating betting odds for the potential signing. And, thanks to the gambling site SportsBetting.ag, we have a better idea of which NFL teams might sit at the top of the list of suitors for Kaepernick’s services.

Whether it’s a QB-needy team like the Cincinnati Bengals — who are currently starting an unproven rookie — or a franchise looking to add the 32-year-old passer as a backup, here’s are the current betting odds for which team will sign Colin Kaepernick.

  • Cincinnati Bengals: +350
  • Pittsburgh Steelers: +400
  • Baltimore Ravens: +600
  • Buffalo Bills: +700
  • Oakland Raiders: +700
  • Carolina Panthers: +800
  • Houston Texans: +1000
  • Chicago Bears: +1200
  • Tampa Bay Buccaneers: +1200
  • Arizona Cardinals: +1500
  • San Francisco 49ers: +1600
  • Indianapolis Colts: +2000
  • Los Angeles Rams: +2000
  • Cleveland Browns: +2500
  • Philadelphia Eagles: +3300
  • Dallas Cowboys: +5000
  • New England Patriots: +5000

Now, there has been some speculation that Colin Kaepernick could end up on a team like the Chicago Bears or even the Dallas Cowboys, but nobody knows for sure which NFL teams are actually interested since the league won’t release a list of any franchise who may have inquired about the quarterback. That has led to some backlash by some, who believe this is all just a PR stunt by the NFL to try and save face.

While nobody knows anything about what the future holds for Kaepernick, I’m putting a few bucks on the New England Patriots. Why? Because the Baltimore Ravens beat them with a dynamic player in Lamar Jackson, and they’re one Tom Brady injury away from being a Wild Card team, so who better to serve as Jackson 2.0 in practice than Colin Kaepernick? Hey, crazier things have happened, so don’t put anything past the genius of Bill Belichick if it leads to more Super Bowl wins.
