The Indianapolis Colts are in the weeds. Being in the basement of the AFC South is the least of their worries at the moment, as their future hangs in the balance. Earlier today, a hot mic caught Tony Dungy telling Dan Patrick that what’s holding Luck back from returning to the field is more mental than it is physical. Luck had surgery to repair a torn labrum in his throwing shoulder in January 2017 and was finally put on IR for the rest of the season last week.
Well, the perpetually injured quarterback may never return to football, according to a report from ESPN 1070 The Fan’s Tony Donohue.
The #Colts are at a crossroad. Im told it is very possible Andrew never plays again. The team is looking at a top 7 pick in the draft..

To be clear: People within the Colts org have legitimate concerns as to whether Andrew Luck will ever play again. Not everyone is on the same page with GM Chris Ballard when he said last week that Luck's injury wasn't career-threatening.

In his first three seasons in the NFL, Luck has led the Colts to three playoff appearances including two AFC South division titles in 2013 and 2014, earning a Pro Bowl selection in each season. He has been sidelined for most of the past two years with various injury issues only perpetuated by an awful offensive line.
Hopefully this is fake news.
