The Dallas Cowboys are just 3-5 in their last 8 games after an impressive 3-0 start that saw the team look dominant both offensively and defensively. While quarterback Dak Prescott continues to light it up, running back Ezekiel Elliott hasn’t looked like himself all year long after signing a huge deal with the team, and his performances have caused lots of debate from the talking heads in sports media.

The real tipping point might have come after the most recent loss by the Dallas Cowboys, when they looked like a JV team against the mighty New England Patriots in a Week 11 matchup. Owner Jerry Jones didn’t hold back from criticizing the entire team, and really went in on head coach Jason Garrett — and has refused to back down from the claims he made immediately following the loss, causing many to think the head coach is as good as gone by season’s end unless the Cowboys win the Super Bowl. Here’s a reminder as to what Jones said after the loss.

Given that type of tension and pressure on Jason Garrett, people in Vegas are already prepping for the (seemingly) inevitable: a coaching change by the Dallas Cowboys. That’s why the good folks at SportsBetting.AG have compiled an early list of candidates that sports bettors can put some money on — and the list of names is pretty hilarious, so take a look below.

OK, so the top few candidates might be realistic — after all, Urban Meyer has discussed the possibility of only coaching the Dallas Cowboys should he return to the sidelines — but, even then, the former Ohio State head coach doesn’t have any NFL experience, so is that the best guy for the gig?

Some of the other names are downright comical. Peyton Manning has already talked about how he doesn’t want to ever be a coach. Tony Romo is absolutely killing it as a commentator. Jimmy Johnson and Barry Switzer are about 30 years past their prime. And the fact that the always controlling Jerry Jones make the list at +50000 odds is the real kicker — then again, the guy has his hands in everything else with the franchise, so maybe he just decides to be head coach, too?

If you’re Jason Garrett or a Dallas Cowboys player, how much would all this talk suck? The team is in the middle of a playoff push and are currently leading the NFC East, yet there are constant questions about coaches being fired. Such is the life of being associated with “America’s Team.”
