In case you haven’t been paying attention, former IndyCar and NASCAR driver Danica Patrick has found a new sport that she’s trying to conquer: golf.

She has been making some serious progress in that regard too as her fans have seen in some of her social media posts over the past couple of months.

Considering the incredible amount of hand-eye coordination it takes to succeed in karting, IndyCar and NASCAR, it shouldn’t be much of a surprise that Danica Patrick appears to be a natural at golf as well.

Back in February, Danica wrote on Instagram, “I decided I want to get good at golf. Today was the first time I ever practiced… and I liked it. Yes, I lined up the balls for rapid ish fire.”

Just a few weeks later she was hitting shots like this…

On Tuesday, the 41-year-old posted another golf video. In the description, she revealed that she had discovered the “secret” to golf.

“I found the trick to golfing. Barefoot and bikinis,” Danica wrote. “Got a few days of much needed time off for my brain.”

Patrick is probably to be glad she took that break, what with the Indy 500 coming up on May 28th. Danica finished third in the 2009 edition of the event, won the Indy Japan 300 in 2008, and ended her open-wheel career with one pole and seven podium finishes.

She and Mike Tirico will once again be leading the coverage of the 107th running of “The Greatest Spectacle in Racing” for NBC.

Danica Patrick was also at the F1 Miami Grand Prix earlier this month and will be working the broadcast for Sky Sports in seven Formula One races in 2023. Three of those races will take place in the United States: Miami, Austin and Las Vegas.
