Deebo Samuel was caught doing a disrespectful step over celebration in response to his first quarter touchdown run against the Bucs on Sunday.

Typically, these moves are done over an opponent who’s just been beat as the scorer flexes his muscles a bit on his competition. But in Deebo Samuel’s world, no one is safe.

After crossing the goal line on that scoring play, the wideout was shoved out of bounds and into a cameraman. The photographer was knocked to the ground, and while Samuel was coming back to celebrate in the endzone, he pulled out that patented step over move.

Fans caught the hilarious incident and quickly posted it to social media.

Vicious.

After seeing the clip go viral on Twitter, Deebo Samuel cleared the air by posting an apology message to the cameraman.

Here’s what he had to say on Monday morning.

“My apologies for stepping over the camera guy. Definitely didn’t realize I did it until watching the tape. Was just in the moment. My apologies my guy.”

Understandable given the excitement of the moment. That score helped give the 49ers a lead in what would become a 35-7 snoozefest over Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Bucs.

Unfortunately, Deebo Samuel was forced to leave with an ankle injury which could keep him sidelined for the remainder of the regular season. That injury caused some around San Francisco football to be critical of head coach Kyle Shanahan.

There is a chance Samuel could return for the postseason, which is good news for a 49ers team that looks primed for a Super Bowl run. We hope for a speedy recovery for the versatile star, and for more celebrations like the one we saw Sunday.
