Deion Sanders has etched his name in the Guinness World Record books. The Colorado head coach set a new mark for the largest ever American football lesson.

The accomplishment came at the Buffs’ indoor practice facility, and it’s brought even more attention to program this season.

On Sunday, Coach Prime held an event alongside UCHealth where he and others from the Buffaloes’ staff ran through football drills for kids between the ages of seven and ten years old. Parents could participate, too.

The previous record for a football lesson came in at 250 people. Colorado’s practice event hosted 280 attendees, far exceeding the previous mark.

The lesson was a part of UCHealth’s “Ready, Set, CO” campaign to promote healthy living in Boulder and the surrounding areas.

It’s just the latest mark set by Coach Prime in Boulder.

The head coach’s hire led to highs in ticket and merchandise sales for the school as he continues to elevate the Colorado program in Year 1.

With the added excitement surrounding the team, the city of Boulder has experienced massive financial boosts on those home football Saturdays.

The Buffs have not only seen a major uptick in attendance, but the media exposure has gone through the roof for a team that won just one game the year prior.

College GameDay and Big Noon Kickoff have already made appearances at the college, hosting pregame football shows on location.

The season got off to a hot start for Coach Prime with wins over TCU and Nebraska. After a 3-1 start, though, the Buffs now find themselves at 4-5.

CU will take on Arizona this weekend as it looks to get back to .500.

Deion Sanders can now put ‘Guinness World Record holder’ on his Hall of Fame resume.
