Deion Sanders Begs His QB Not To Injure Himself Snowboarding While Documenting ‘Scary’ Ski Lift Ride

Head coach Deion Sanders was seen embracing the Colorado lifestyle this week, taking an offseason trip to a ski resort. Coach Prime was spotted headed up the mountain with his sons, Shilo and Bucky, as well as a pair of Buffs football players.

Though he hopped a ride on the gondola lift to make his way to the peak, he wouldn’t take his chances of skiing or snowboarding down the mountainside.

“I only got eight toes, now,” Sanders responded when asked about his chances of hitting the slopes.

His players, meanwhile, planned to shred.

Backup QB Gavin Kuld was one of those Colorado contributors, and he had big ambitions of beating his personal top speed on a snowboard.

“The line is being set at 45 MPH, today,” the passer said after arriving to his takeoff destination. “My max speed right now is 43.5 MPH.”

On the way up, Kuld was heard pointing out jumps he’d like to “gap” as he prepped for the upcoming ride. His head coach wasn’t too fond about the thought of his reserve signal caller taking on the role of daredevil.

“You think I can gap that?” Kuld asked while glancing down at the mountain below.

Shilo Sanders quickly answered, “Not if you wanna have a good spring!”

His father echoed that sentiment.

“You know we need y’all. You guys can’t get hurt out here!” Prime said to Kuld and wideout Tagert Bardin.

Deion Sanders continues to embrace Colorado living.

While his team members were making their ways down the mountain, Sanders strolled through the town. He continues to embrace living in the Rockies, and everything that comes with it – even the cold weather!

“This is flat out beautiful to me. You talk about a Florida boy living out his dreams.”

Many were skeptical Sanders would remain with the program for the long haul, linking him to recent openings including Texas A&M and Alabama.

That attention didn’t turn into a change of scenery, and he seems to be soaking up every aspect of the place he currently calls home.

And why wouldn’t he?

He has another season with his sons on the football field, as well as a team that he can continue to mold in his own unique way.

Pair that with the incredible fan support he’s seen in Colorado, and it’s hard to see him pursuing another opportunity at this moment in time.

As Prime walked through the area on his latest offseason trip, he was greeted by supporters of both the Buffs and rivals. All were grateful of what he’s brought to the state in his short time in Boulder.

Since arriving on campus in December of 2022, he’s been able to shine a national spotlight on a program looking to get out of a rut.

Despite coming off a 1-11 campaign, CU had visits from both College GameDay and FOX’s Big Noon Kickoff early in the year.

The exposure and excitement surrounding the coaching hire resulted in major sales at the box office and on the merchandise shelves. The ‘Prime Effect’ was in full force as the Buffs landed national NIL deals and helped give the local economy a $113M boost this past fall.

Deion Sanders will look to build on the successes seen in Year 1 while moving on from a disappointing 1-7 finish to the season. Colorado kicks off next year against North Dakota State.

In the meantime, Prime will continue to enjoy his offseason.
