‘Fire McDermott’ Trends On Twitter Following Another Close Bills Loss

The Buffalo Bills have lost another close game, blowing multiple leads en route to a devastating 34-31 overtime loss on the road against the Philadelphia Eagles. And, calls for the dismissal of Buffalo Bills coach Sean McDermott trended on Twitter after the team dropped to 6-6.

Frankly, that talented of a team has no business being 6-6, and fans are fed up. Who can blame them, given the fact that they were one of the favorites to win the Super Bowl coming into the year.

But, the team is 2-6 in one-possession games, and that usually has a pretty strong correlation with coaching. Frankly, after the defense blew the game against the Chiefs in the AFC Divisional Round two seasons ago, the Bills haven’t been the same. And, it’s time to move on from the defensively-minded McDermott. Too often his unit cannot get a big stop when they need it.

And, Bills fans have had enough. They’re wasting the prime of Josh Allen, Stefon Diggs, and others. They should be competing for Super Bowls year-in, year-out, and they’re simply not.

“The Eagles just find ways to win. The Bills just find ways to lose. I still don’t think (Owner) Terry (Pegula) fires McDermott, but damn it’s hard to watch other teams consistently get it right when they need to,” @aaronquinn716 said.

“You can’t continue with a head coach that proves time and time again that he’s incapable of coaching in crunch time. Fire Sean McDermott,” @TheMattSiragusa said.

“I have not been on the fire McDermott train but it is obvious he has lost this team. The Super Bowl era is now officially closed so let the rebuild begin with a new head coach,” @BillsDaily said.

The Bills get a much-needed bye before they take on the Chiefs in week 14 in Arrowhead. And, it’s a must-win, which is a scary proposition on the road in Kansas City.
