Greg Hardy Claims He Doesn’t Even Feel It When He Gets Hit In The Octagon, Says He’s A ‘Dangerous’ Man

Greg Hardy has been a man amongst boys in his six total fights in the octagon. The 6’5”, 265 pounde remains undefeated, 3-0 as a pro with a 3-0 amateur career, with all six fights ending in under one minute. Most recently, at an XFN 352 event in Tulsa, Oklahoma, the former Pro Bowl defensive lineman knocked out Rasheem Jones in 53 seconds in what can only be described as pure domination.

UFC President Dana White reacted to Hardy’s convincing win and spoke on the promising start to his fighting career on the “UFC Unfiltered” podcast:

“That was an impressive win. The other wins he’s had, he’s been in there with guys standing and trading, and he ended up catching them and knock them out. This one, he actually gets his back, controls the arm and starts hammer-fisting him. Very impressive. He’s a guy that we’ll continue to bring up, continue to get him fights, and we’ll make the decision when he’s finally ready to come to the UFC.”

Hardy is currently playing out a special developmental contract where the UFC is paying him to fight in the minors until it deems him ready to fight the best in the world.

TMZ Sports spoke with Hardy asked him when we’re going to see him on a UFC card, and the disgraced NFL player came off surprisingly humble, saying he wants to “demonstrate any level of competency [the UFC] wants me to demonstrate so they know for sure that they’re getting the full package and they’re getting someone that earned it and not came in and greedily take it.”

When asked if he was far enough along to compete against the top guys in the division like Stipe Miocic, Daniel Cormier and Derrick Lewis, Hardy had this to say:

“Those are some dangerous names, brotha. Like I said, I’m not scared, man, if they put me in the ring tomorrow with them, I’d be coming to completely dominate them. But that is what I want complete and total domination and I don’t think it would be intelligent to step into the ring right now with those guys.”

Hardy was then asked what it felt like when he takes the first hard shot in a fight. His answer should scare his future opponents:

“Feels like nothing man. I didn’t even know it happened until someone told me afterwards. I get so hyped up and into the fight, and I’m a rare defensive lineman, we’re a different breed. I might go the whole game with a broken leg and not even know. This is what I do. I’m not scared, I don’t feel this. It’s dangerous for someone to be in there with me. I want people to know that.”

Gulp.
