Jon Gruden, get ready to learn Italian, buddy!

No, really.

The embattled former Las Vegas Raiders head coach is returning to football, albeit in an extremely weird role. Gruden will serve as an advisor for the Milano Seaman of the European League of Football.

Didn’t know the European League of Football existed? Well, join the club!

John Gruden Heads To Italy After Resigning In Shame From Raiders Job

The Super Bowl-winning head coach has been out of the NFL since 2021 when he resigned from the Raiders job after several controversial and derogatory emails that became public. Though he served as a consultant for the New Orleans Saints last season.

“There’s a lot of misunderstanding out there right now, what you read, what you hear, what you watch on TV, hell I worked at ESPN for nine years…I don’t even want to watch the channel anymore because I don’t believe everything is true and I know a lot of is trying to get people to watch, but I think we gotta get back to reality,” Gruden said of the situation during an appearance with the Little Rock Touchdown Club.

He then went on to sue the NFL in a case that has since reached the Nevada Supreme Court.

Though NFL attorney Kannon Shanmugam says the league, and the Raiders, did nothing wrong.

“When Gruden entered into his contract with the Raiders, the richest coaching contract in NFL history, he agreed to two broad arbitration provisions that cover all disputes arising out of his employment agreement or involving conduct detrimental to the league,” he wrote.

And so Gruden has decided to look elsewhere. Though many believed that “elsewhere” would be the college or even high school ranks.

Instead, it appears that ‘Spider 2, Y Banana’ is going international. Good work if you can get it.
