Nebraska ace Jordy Frahm pitched in the Women’s College World Series while pregnant. The college softball legend just added another impressive feat to her resume and it might actually be her greatest.
Was her husband trying to let us in on their secret the whole time??
The Bowlin Boys were one of the most entertaining storylines of the college softball postseason. Their shenanigans is even more fun if you choose to believe this latest conspiracy theory. (We all get to decide our own truth, right?!)
Nebraska star Jordy Frahm pitched in the Women’s College World Series while pregnant.
Although her senior season did not end quite as she had hoped, Jordy Frahm cemented her legacy as an all-time great. The two-time national champion at Oklahoma transferred back home to Nebraska in 2024 and was named as the Big Ten Pitcher of the Year during each of her two seasons with the Cornhuskers. She was named as the USA Softball Collegiate Player of the Year in 2026.
You can call her the Shohei Ohtani of college softball, if you will.
Frahm recorded a 1.37 ERA with 251 strikeouts and only 33 (!!) walks against 743 batters in 189.2 innings over 43 appearances in the circle. The fifth-year senior also backed herself up at the plate, hitting .403 with 60 runs scored, 51 RBIs and 20 home runs. She got on base in 49.6% of her at-bats. Preeeeeeeeeetty good!
Nebraska made the Super Regional round of the NCAA Tournament in back-to-back years and punched its ticket to the Women’s College World Series for the first time in 13 years. The Cornhuskers wouldn’t have been there without their two-way ace.
However, it is Frahm’s character that really sets her apart. She left the program (and the sport) in a much better place than where she found it.
And if that was not impressive enough, Frahm was pregnant throughout the entire postseason! She and her husband, Trey Frahm, announced the news together on Monday night. Their child is due in December.
If we are to do that math, Frahm has been confirmed pregnant since mid-to-late March. She has pitched in at least 30 games since she found out. To be named as the college softball player of the year is one thing. To be named as the college softball player of the year while in the first trimester of a pregnancy is superhuman. I would love to know who else knew and kept this secret.
Was Trey Frahm trying to tell us that best player in college softball was pregnant?
This is where the “conspiracy theory” comes into the equation. It is more a joke than anything. Bear with me as I connect a few dots that may not be connectable. It’s more fun that way.
Jordy Frahm, formerly Bahl, married former Nebraska baseball player Trey Frahm. They are going to have a baby.
Trey went viral over the last few weeks during the Super Regional and the Women’s College World Series. He and a few other significant others of players on the team became known as the ‘Bowlin Boys’. The rowdy group of Cornhuskers supporters wore red and white striped overalls as they sat right behind the dugout on the third base line.
Although we do not know exactly why he was asked to leave, Trey was ejected from the final game of the Super Regional during the seventh inning. That did not stop him or his buddies from crotch-chopping in Oklahoma City.

Now hear me out… What if Trey Frahm was trying to let us know that Jordy Frahm was pregnant this whole time?! The crotch chop does not have a deeper meaning unless you choose to believe it does. So I am choosing to believe it was a hint.
