If the NFL Draft was to take place today, it would be very hard not to select Keon Coleman as the No. 2 wide receiver behind Marvin Harrison Jr. The Michigan State transfer has been extremely impressive during his first (and likely only) year of college football with Florida State.

Coleman, who stands 6-foot-4, 215 pounds, is averaging 14.2 yards per catch on 38 catches with nine touchdowns. Although his statistical numbers may not jump out off of the page, he continues to do freakish things each and every week.

For example:

If that wasn’t impressive enough, you should hear what fuels him!

Coleman’s pregame meal is insane. Some might even say disgusting.

There are multiple factors that go into his pregame meal, including kickoff time and location. However, he recently revealed what a meal might look like if the Seminoles are playing a four o’clock game.

It is almost always from McDonald’s and looks something like this:

  • Two hot and spicy McChicken sandwiches with cheese and extra mayonnaise
  • Medium french fries
  • 10-piece chicken McNuggets
  • Oreo McFlurry

Seriously. That is what one of the best wide receivers in college football eats before taking the field on Saturdays in the fall.

Coleman puts back approximately 2,300 calories from McDonald’s before running ridiculously twitchy routes, torching defensive backs, and making highlight reel catches. It makes his performance just that more impressive, because most people who ate his pregame meal would be nauseous, stuffed to the brim, and lethargic.

Not Coleman. He is quick and strong.

Chad ‘Ochocinco’ Johnson is considered one of the best wide receivers in NFL history. He, too, ate McDonald’s before every game just like Coleman.

Perhaps they are onto something? Maybe McDonald’s is the key to becoming a top-tier pass-catcher?

Probably not. Johnson and Coleman are the exceptions, not the rule. And credit to them!
