What’s the greatest play in the history of the Super Bowl? While that might be a difficult question to answer, former St. Louis Rams and Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kurt Warner certainly has an opinion about what *isn’t*.

After a clip claiming that Warner’s famed pick-six against the Pittsburgh Steelers is the greatest play in Super Bowl history went viral, the Hall of Fame quarterback chimed in with the hilarious caveat of “It depends on who you ask.”

The Super Bowl between the Pittsburgh Steelers and Arizona Cardinals in 2009 ultimately ended 27-23 in favor of the Steelers, meaning Warner’s second-half-ending pick-six ultimately proved to be decisive.

Despite heading into halftime down 17-7 and into the 4th quarter trailing 20-7, Warner and the Cardinals were able to rally and take a 23-20 lead with about 2:30 minutes to play.

Steelers signal-caller Ben Roethlisberger, however, would lead the team on an 8-play, 78-yard game-winning drive that was capped by an instantly iconic Santonio Holmes touchdown catch.

Aside from the interception, Warner was lights out on the night as he completed 31 of 43 passes for 377 yards and three touchdowns.

Both teams’ star wide receivers also put up massive games as Holmes reeled in 9 catches for 131 yards and a touchdown, while Larry Fitzgerald caught 7 balls for 127 yards and two touchdowns.

Luckily for Warner, despite the loss to the Steelers, he was still able to retire with a Super Bowl title under his belt as he previously beat the Tennessee Titans with Marshall Faulk, Terry Holt, Issac Bruce, and the rest of the “Greatest Show on Turf” in Super Bowl XXXIV, which was ultimately enough to get him inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2017.

Warner, in fact, is considered to be the greatest undrafted player in the history of the National Football League as he is the only undrafted player to be named NFL MVP, Super Bowl MVP, and to lead his team to a Super Bowl win.
