Offensive lineman Landon Dickerson has developed into one of the NFL’s top guards over the last few seasons while anchoring a Philadelphia Eagles front five that could be the league’s best. As a result, he’s received a hefty salary bump and contract extension with the organization that should keep in in Philly for the foreseeable future.

Dickerson, who’s initial pro contract was worth around $8.6 million, will see a tenfold increase with his latest signature securing a four-year, $84 million deal.

Here’s more on the second-round pick from Eagles insider Dave Spadaro:

This kind of contract – one that reportedly pays Landon Dickerson more than any guard in the history of the NFL – is one that follows a familiar trail for the Philadelphia Eagles: Invest in the trenches. And with Dickerson’s contract that he signed on Tuesday and keeps him an Eagle through the 2028 season, Philadelphia has invested in a two-time Pro Bowl player just hitting the core years of his continued dominance.

“It just shows a lot of respect, how much trust they have in me to continue to grow as a player,” the big man said about the extension. “Being here has been a tremendous bright spot in my life… For me, I just didn’t want there to be any question about how much I wanted to be here, stick around here, hopefully be here my entire career.”

Both parties are certainly doing their part to ensure his dream of sticking around the City of Brotherly Love comes true. And given his new sense of security with the organization he loves, Dickerson’s now able to think ahead to the future, which might include a nice luxury item or two as he continues to entrench himself in Philadelphia.

The former Alabama All-American already has an idea of what his first big purchase will be.

Landon Dickerson wants to reward himself with a new lawnmower.

“I have a financial advisor for a reason,” he said about his pay bump, not wanting to get too crazy with the spending.

“I don’t know, I may go get a new lawnmower,” Dickerson continued. “It’s something I’ve been looking into.”

A native of Hickory, NC, that zero-turn seems right up his alley.

Paired with his country-themed pregame outfits and his affinity for riding mowers, it’s a match made in heaven!

With free agency now behind him, Dickerson can look ahead to the future. After what sounds to be an upcoming summer filled with grass cutting, he’ll turn his attention back to the field with hopes of getting the Eagles back to the playoffs.
