Bronny James entered the transfer portal this week, sending shockwaves throughout the college basketball world. His father, LeBron, has since responded, suggesting that he won’t influence his son’s decision.

Still, recent activity on social media has sparked a reaction amongst his followers. Did LeBron give insight on a potential landing spot?

Bronny opted to test the market after USC head coach Andy Enfield bolted for SMU. Though the Trojans are targeting a replacement who has familiarity with the James family, most believe he’ll wind up elsewhere.

Those potential destinations?

Ohio State seems to be a popular pick given his father’s fandom and the fact that a close family friend committed to play for the Buckeyes on the same day Bronny entered the portal.

He also held an offer from Memphis coming out of high school. Could the Tigers get a second look?

Duquesne seems to be a dark horse as they recently hired one of LeBron’s former high school teammates as head coach. The Dukes saw historic success last season, making the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 1977, and knocking off BYU in the first round of play.

Bronny’s dad emphasized that hire shortly after the transfer portal news broke with a repost on his X timeline.

LeBron says he won’t influence Bronny James’s decision.

While fans speculate a potential move due to James family ties, the NBA star suggested on Tuesday that he has no idea where his son’s head is at in the decision-making process.

“Bronny’s his own man,” he said after a game against the Raptors “He’s got some tough decisions to make. When he’s ready to make that decision, he’ll let us all know. As a family, we’re going to support whatever he does.”

If true, this post likely holds no weight in terms of Bronny’s future.

Still, the speculation will continue as the guard’s next landing spot will be of major interest this college basketball offseason.
