USC dropped its second straight game on Saturday night, falling to Utah by two points. Lincoln Riley was a no-show for his weekly radio show, failing to appear to discuss the recent setback.

The head coach blamed that absence on feeling “under the weather,” but not many are buying the excuse.

The no-show comes after back-to-back losses against Notre Dame and the PAC 12 rival Utes. The Trojans haven’t looked good over the last month, going 2-2 with one-score wins over Colorado and Arizona.

Many predicted this collapse prior to the Notre Dame game given Heisman winner Caleb Williams’ poor performance against top defensive units. Unfortunately, there are still a few more formidable defensive foes in UCLA and Oregon remaining on the slate.

With the second loss of the year, USC’s national title hopes have likely been dashed. That’s sparked an overreaction from both fans and media surrounding the status of the program.

Some are calling for Williams to sit out the rest of the year, as he’s projected to be the top pick in the NFL Draft. Rumors are swirling that Lincoln Riley could follow his passer to the NFL, bailing on the Trojans after just two seasons.

Those reports have many believing the head coach is checked out in Los Angeles. As USC supporters spiral, Oklahoma fans are taking a victory lap.

Sooners troll Lincoln Riley, USC fans.

A number of OU fans hopped on social media to say, “I told you so,” to the Trojans. They’ve seen this play out before.

“If only there had been a way Trojan fans knew this was coming.”

“ANOTHA ONE. #HeGone…”

“Yeah, sounds about right.”

“I’ve been saying it for the past two weeks. He’s got a jet on standby. We’ve seen this at Oklahoma. Get ready to be upset, SC fans.”

Riley was at the helm for five seasons in Norman before leaving for USC. Blindsided OU fans were bitter over the departure, and those USC fans took the moment to gloat seeing the Trojans win 11 games while the Sooners struggled.

Now, the tables have turned with SC seeing uncertainty while OU is undefeated and ranked in the Top 10.

History could soon repeat itself based on the rumors surrounding another Lincoln Riley exit. You can be sure Sooners will continue their trolling should Riley leave SC high and dry.
