The Dolphins will be playing on their home turf when they host the Bills for their regular season finale, but it seems like there’s a chance the majority of the people in the crowd will be pulling for Buffalo based on data that’s emerged in the lead-up to the game.

The Miami Dolphins have already punched their ticket to the postseason and head into Sunday sporting an 11-5 record, but the seed they’ll ultimately receive is contingent on how things pan out over the final weekend of the season.

The Buffalo Bills, on the other hand, haven’t secured a spot in the playoffs, but a win over the Dolphins would not only allow them to do that but help them clinch the AFC East (they can still get in with a loss as long as the Jaguars or Steelers lose).

As a result, the stakes are pretty high for Buffalo and the members of Bills Mafia who are hoping to see their squad make it to the playoffs for the fifth consecutive year.

It seems like we can expect a pretty exciting primetime matchup at Hard Rock Stadium (the Bills are currently listed as 3-point favorites), and while the Dolphins will theoretically have the fans on their side, the home team could end up dealing with a slightly more hostile atmosphere than it’s used to in Miami.

According to WBKW, the folks at Vivid Seats have taken a look at buying patterns ahead of the game and believe 52% of the people in attendance will actually be pulling for the Bills (there’s also no other game this weekend that’s fetching a higher price of admission, as the average ticket will currently set you back more than $300).

I’m not entirely sure how the company concluded the majority of spectators will be Bills fans, so while I’m slightly skeptical that will actually be the case when everything is said and done, hardware stores in the Miami area are probably still going to want to stock up on folding tables.
