Ole Miss never loses a party, and they let it be known over the weekend with an incredible drone light show. “Party in the Sip,” flashed across the sky as fans and players geared up for the start of the fourth quarter.

The drone show was unlike anything we’ve seen in college football, but it could soon become the sport’s next big trend.

It seems that everyone these days is using some form of light show/effects to rev up the home crowd in crucial moments of the game. Whether that be before kickoff, coming out of the halftime break, or to start the fourth and final period of play, some sort of LED action is being used to ignite a fire.

Tennessee made headlines last weekend during a matchup with South Carolina, sending viewers to the depths of Hell with an incredible Black Sabbath intro.

The Rebs decided to take things to the next level.

Not only did they utilize the stadium lights to amplify the atmosphere, but the media team then flew a flock of drones above fans to send a message to those in attendance.

Like something from a sci-fi film, yet with the perfect SEC caption.

After the game, a 27-20 win for the Rebels over SEC West rival Arkansas, Ole Miss fans and media began sending in their own photos of the drone show.

While “Party in the Sip,” received the most attention, an Ole Miss logo and the outline of a football player were also created with the drones.

Head coach Lane Kiffin’s girlfriend Sally Rychlak even sent her view from a suite in Vaught-Hemingway Stadium.

The Rebels used the energy of that light show to pull out a seven-point win over the Razorbacks. After falling behind 20-17 in the fourth quarter, Ole Miss stormed back to score the final 10 points of the contest.
