You just knew that when College GameDay made the trip to Knoxville for No. 6 Tennesse’s game against No. 3 Alabama that it would be something special.

The Vols haven’t beaten their SEC rivals in 15 years and this looks like a prime opportunity. Senior quarterback Hendon Hooker looks like a Heisman Trophy candidate. While reigning Heisman Trophy winner Bryce Young could be out for the Crimson Tide after suffering a should injury against Arkansas just two weeks ago.

The show marked the return of legend host Lee Corso after two weeks away with an undisclosed illness. The 87-year-old was welcomed back with a crowd fit for a king. It also featured the return of Vols legend Peyton Manning to Knoxville as the guest picker.

But there was one guest that fans weren’t expecting, and he showed up in the most unique way.

Paul Finebaum Rises From Casket On ESPN College GameDay

Welcome, Paul Finebaum.

For the uninitiated, Finebaum is the host of the Paul Finebaum Show on the SEC Network as well as a syndicated radio show by the same name. He’s a legend in SEC country and Volunteers fans completely lost it when he rose out of the casket a la WWE legend The Undertaker.

Others were not as sold…

Finebaum’s pick shouldn’t come as a surprise. After all, he is a Memphis, Tennessee native and a graduate of the University of Tennessee. But he’s going to need a lot to go right to be proven correct.

The Crimson Tide enter the contest at 9-point favorites even with Young’s status in doubt. And on the other side, Tennessee captain and starting safety Jaylen McCollough will miss the game. McCollough was arrested last Sunday after police were called to his apartment for reports of an assault.

Tennessee has yet to issue an official statement on McCollough, but ESPN’s Pete Thamel reported on his absence on Saturday morning.

Looks like Paaawwllll will need a little luck for his Vols.
