Seattle Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll is widely considered one of the NFL’s greatest characters.

The 72-year-old is always full of energy and never seems to pass on an opportunity to have a good time.

Take, for instance, his postgame speech after Seattle’s 20-17 comeback victory over the Philadelphia Eagles on Monday night.

The Seahawks post video of Carroll’s speech on social media on Tuesday and it didn’t take long for the clip to go viral.

After briefly addressing his team Carroll suddenly yelled, asking his team “can you win in the first quarter?!”

To which they resoundingly replied “no!”

“Can you win in the second quarter?!”

“No!”

“Can you win in the third quarter?!”

This time they offered up a “h— no!”

Finally, Carroll asked his team “can you win the mother f—– in the fourth quarter?”

To which all the players offered up a resounding “yes!”

Carroll told his players that they got better as the game went on. He also told them to take time to enjoy the victory, regardless of what it meant for Seattle’s playoff chances.

“You’ll always remember this Monday night,” Carroll said. “You made a great freakin’ memory. We hung all night long. We did it, fellas, we stayed with it. As the game went on we got better, we got cleaner, we got sharper.”

The Seahawks moved to 7-7 on the year with the win. They sit in eighth place in the NFC. But Seattle sits in a tie with four other teams and could move as high as the second wild card seed in the NFL.

Carroll is in his 14th years with the organization. But it’s clear that he’s showing no signs of slowing down.

And it’s hard to see how any player in the NFL wouldn’t want to play for the likely future hall of famer.
