PGA Tour legend Rickie Fowler is bringing back the all-orange fit.

On Monday, Fowler celebrated National Orange Juice Day and brought back his iconic outfit after partnering with Tropicana for a new ad spot.

We were able to sit down with Fowler, courtesy of Tropicana, to talk about his fashion, his favorite Sunday orange fits, and orange juice.

Hey Rickie, you’ve been known to be pretty fashionable on the golf course. Has that always been the case?

Rickie Fowler: I think kind of. I was always aware of fashion, and I kind of always liked to be myself, maybe not just fit in with what everyone else was wearing or doing. And then for me, going into, on the golf side, I had some fun with it. With stuff through high school and college.f. I grew up riding and racing dirt bikes, so a lot of the, you know, gear and stuff you would wear is pretty colorful. And that was a way of, I don’t know, standing out or looking different while you’re out riding. And so for me, it’s kind of bringing some colors and having some fun with it on the golf course, something fun and different. It was a way for me to just continue to be myself, like I said, just having fun with it. And it was. It seemed to be a big hit with the younger generation kids. So it’s. It’s been a fun ride.

Your Sunday Orange outfits are iconic; that was inspired by your time at Oklahoma State, right?

Yeah, that’s. That’s where it started for me. You know, I started wearing orange on Sundays. Tiger kind of had red locked down. Orange was a. A good fit for me. And, you know, it’s National Orange Juice Day, so I wore all orange yesterday, which kind of led to the launch of this partnership with Tropicana. Everything all orange coming together. It was, you know, just a perfect, organic fit to. To do something like this. So excited to. To bring more orange into my life.

Do you have a favorite Sunday orange fit?

Yeah, there has been a handful. I still have to give it to the all orange. Even yesterday, you know, I hadn’t worn all orange in quite a while. Was maybe a little nervous heading into it. It’s pretty loud. It’s pretty bold. But no, I felt good. It gave me a little extra energy, I guess. Same way as if you have a little cup of Tropicana in the morning, get the morning going.

Do you have any fashion tips for people who don’t wear much orange in their everyday life?

Well, for me, whenever I haven’t worn all orange. It’s, you know, orange and white, orange and black, orange and gray. Kind of those neutrals are simple. Yeah, orange, it’s. It’s a loud color for me. I don’t know, it kind of signifies like some power and confidence. So at the same time, I don’t think you have too much of it.

Does being fashionable on the golf course give you confidence to play better?

I think, yeah, a big part of it is being yourself. But when you look good, you feel good, you play good. That’s always been a big thing on the Puma side. I feel like that’s for everyone, though. But part of it too is you have to be comfortable. You have to believe in it. So I think a big part of it is being yourself. But when you can be out there, maybe push the limits a little bit, maybe sometimes it’s. It’s getting out of just a little bit out of your comfort zone to kind of push you and give you that little extra energy or edge.

Were there any golfers that inspired you to be fashionable on the golf course?

I would say someone for me that I always really liked growing up was Payne Stewart. He was someone that kind of did. He did his own thing, you know, wore the knickers, had some fun with it. I can’t remember the year. I want to say it was 2014 U.S. open at Pinehurst. Puma was able to make kind of some makeshift knickers for me and did a Payne Stewart inspired outfit. But, yeah, he was someone to me, that kind of stood out in his generation of kind of the fashion side, but also having fun with it and being himself.

Do you have any general fashion tips for guys out there?

I think some of it is even just looking and seeing what, you know, you might think looks good on other people or. And then picking and choosing. It doesn’t have to be trying to go dress up specifically like someone particular, but if there’s one piece of item that you really like. I kind of start with one item and then build the outfit ensemble off of that. For me, when I’ve worn the head-to-toe colors, it’s pretty, pretty simple because it’s all just one color. But a lot of times, I’m starting with, ” Hey, I like this shirt. How do I piece things together with that? And then definitely get, you know, inspirations from seeing, you know, oh, that I like what, you know, so and so is wearing. You know, how can I do something like that but put my own spin on it?

It is National Orange Juice Day. Do you have a favorite orange juice drink?

I like it just straight up Tropicana Pure Premium. That’s why I’m very simple. I like it over ice, but if. If it’s during the day and I want to maybe enjoy a little bit, a screwdriver would be the easy go-to. I would say it’s definitely the most common.

Talk to us about your partnership with Tropicana.

We’re just getting started. We’re having fun. I’m excited about this partnership with Tropicana. You know, today’s kind of the big launch. I know there’ll be some more ads and stuff coming out. We shot and had some fun a few months ago. There’sontests going on starting today that’ll run for almost two weeks. There’s a National Mimosa Day that I found out as well, but May 16, so I think there’s like 12 days where there’s a contest going. People can submit their favorite orange juice drinks or potential drinks and a chance to win a juiced up Tropicana beverage cart. So, yes, it is orange, but fun little giveaway. Hopefully everyone has some fun with it and maybe we’ll find a new drink out of it.

Fans who comment on Tropicana and Fowler’s collab IG post between 5/4 and 5/16 with the name of their favorite orange cocktail or mocktail will be entered for a chance to win a custom, juiced-up beverage cart – the perfect way to bring a splash of orange energy, whether you’re on or off the golf course.
