Rob Gronkowski Names His Dream Return Scenario And It Won’t Make New England Patriots Fans Happy

Unlikely long-time teammate Tom Brady, future Pro Football Hall of Fame tight end Rob Gronkowski seems to be sticking to his retirement.

Gronkowski called it quits after the 2021 season, ending a career that spanned 11 seasons and featured five Pro Bowl selections and four Super Bowl rings.

But Gronk doesn’t appear too heartbroken about stepping away from the game. In fact, he appears to be loving life in retirement.

He’s already turned down at least two offers offer to return to the league and his life away from the game is one big party. Gronkowski plans on attending this year’s Super Bowl in Scottsdale. But he plans to do so as a party host, not as an interested football player.

There is one team, however, that could turn Gronkowski’s head if they made him an offer. And that team won’t make New England Patriots fans very happy.

Rob Gronkowski Says He Would Love To Play For Buffalo Bills In ‘Dream’ Scenario

The Buffalo Bills are one of the best teams in the NFL. They’re also perhaps the New England Patriots’ biggest rival and Gronk’s dream team for a potential return.

Gronkowski revealed the dream team to FanDuel TV’s Kayla Adams in a recent episode of her show, “Up and Adams”

In a dream world, I’ll go with my hometown team, the Buffalo Bills, once again,” Gronkowski said. “If you just watch Josh Allen go out there and play, he plays the game freely. It also looks like he’s having the most fun out there out of any QB in the whole NFL. And on top of it, he knows how to extend a play. I love watching a quarterback that looks like they’re about to get sacked by three defensive linemen then somehow escapes the pocket and runs around, jukes a linebacker behind the field and then just whips the ball down the field 50 yards for a touchdown. Just his play is unbelievable and electrifying.”

It’s hard to fault Gronkowski. Allen is one of the most entertaining players in the league today. But it’s hard to imagine Pats fans will appreciate his comments all that much.
