The last time may of us saw MLB legend (and still not Hall of Famer) Roger Clemens pitching in a competitive game it was in 2012 in his his second start for the Sugar Land Skeeters against the Long Island Ducks on September 7, 2012 with his son Koby Clemens doing the catching.

At the age of 50, Clemens pitched 4-2/3 scoreless innings, hit 88 mph on the gun, and was named the winning pitcher. It was his second start for the team. His first was a 3-1/3 inning outing against the Bridgeport Bluefish where he allowed no runs and was also named the winning pitcher… at age 50.

Over this past weekend, Clemens, now 56-years-old, was back on the hill once again, this time for the University of Texas Alumni Game in which Longhorns legends face off agains the team’s current roster.

And once again, The Rocket showed he’s still got skills.

The seven-time Cy Young Award winner reached the mid-80s with his fastball, and was still able to snap off a breaking ball that can buckle the knees of players much less than half his age.

I’m sorry, but that’s just ridiculous for a 56-year-old.

Clemens’ sons Kacy and Kody also participated in the game, repping the Tigers and Blue Jays, their current teams, while Roger went old school.

Apparently, Clemens is also still a bit intimidating on the mound, because as he lamented later, at least one of the current Longhorns bunted on him, which is absurd. You get the once-in-a-lifetime chance to face one of the greatest pitchers of all time and you… bunt? Come… on, son!
