Rudy Gobert is in the holiday spirit, and he’s spreading his Christmas cheer to employees of the Target Center in Minnesota. The All-Star center gave a generous gift to more than 450 arena workers.

Gobert, in just his first season with the Timberwolves, is already making his presence known on and off the court.

In Year 1, he’s averaged a double-double, totaling 14.1 points and 12.2 boards a night. He’s picked up right where he left off in Utah after landing All-Star honors in each of the last three seasons.

That performance has helped Minnesota get out to a 15-15 start as they try to get back to the NBA postseason for a second straight year. They currently own the final playoff spot in the Western Conference and find themselves on a two-game winning streak.

But Gobert’s impact off the court has been as big as it is on. On Monday, it was revealed that he gifted more than 450 Target Center employees a present for the holidays. Jon Krawczynski of The Athletic posted about the gesture on social media.

More than 450 Target Center employess — ushers, concession workers, change-over, etc. — showed up to a nice little gift tonight. A signed card and $50 from Rudy Gobert, thanking them for all they do for the Wolves.

NBA Twitter was quick to react to Gobert’s generosity with fans posting their responses online. Take a look.

One fan wrote, “Kind of crazy considering the short amount of time he has been here. What a guy,” while another person said, “Common Rudy Gobert W.”

This is a tradition that dates back to his time with the Jazz. He’s now impacted a new group of people in his move to the Midwest.

Rudy Gobert was traded to the Timberwolves over the offseason following nine years in Utah. He’s quickly making himself a fan favorite with his new team.
