Russell Wilson Appears To Indicate His Future In The NFL With Clear Real Estate Move In Denver

Russell Wilson

Russell Wilson apparently does not think that he will be a member of the Denver Broncos next season. He and Ciara are looking to leave.

According to Thomas Gounley of Business Den, the quarterback and his wife have been quietly shopping their astonishingly expensive mansion in Cherry Hills. They are currently accepting offers and providing tours to prospective buyers.

The house, which was purchased for $25 million in Sept. 2022, is the most expensive single family home in the Denver area. It will likely sell for an equivalent number in the next few weeks or months if the Wilsons don’t choose to unload at a discount.

That sale is also contingent on the expected change at quarterback.

Sean Payton made it abundantly clear that he is not in love with Wilson while at the Super Bowl in Las Vegas earlier this month. He did the same when he chose to bench the nine-time Pro Bowler for the final two games of the 2023 NFL season. That seemingly marked the end of their very brief time together.

As a result, the Broncos are expected to make a change at quarterback this offseason. Denver is likely to draft a rookie and/or sign a veteran that is more exciting to Payton.

Thus, Russell Wilson is presumably on his way out. The decision to shop his house indicates that a move of such nature is imminent. Writing is on the wall.

Wilson’s 20,000-square-foot home sits on five acres. It has four bedrooms and 12 bathrooms. The 2,590-square-foot indoor swimming pool, basketball court and guest apartment (with its own kitchen) are some of the most notable features in the home.

Regardless of whether the Wilsons sell sooner or later, or at all, this real estate move certainly appears to indicate his future in the NFL. They would not be looking to sell if they didn’t think that they don’t need a house in Denver anymore. Right?
