In 2015, Russell Wilson and Ciara announced they had started dating and quickly took their relationship to the next level the following year after getting engaged just a few months before officially tying the knot in the summer of 2016.

Wilson has had two children with the singer and also takes care of the stepson his wife gave birth to during her relationship with Future (who he’s also named after), the rapper who’s made it very clear he is not a huge fan of her husband.

The Atlanta-based artist has repeatedly fired shots at Wilson after stepping into the booth, including an O.J. Simpson-inspired song that dropped shortly after the quarterback married his ex where Future seemingly threatened to kill him.

If you’re familiar with Wilson’s personality, the fact that the Broncos QB has taken the high road by largely ignoring Future’s attempts to goad him into escalating the fairly one-sided feud shouldn’t come as a huge surprise.

However, that hasn’t stopped Future from continuing to try to press his buttons—which is exactly what he did when he linked up with Quavo for “Turn Your Clic Up,” a recent track where he calls out Wilson by name with the line “I got it out the field, f*** Russell.”

Now, there’s no way to know if Wilson got wind of that diss, but it sure seems like he decided to issue a cryptic response with the help of a photo featuring Future’s nine-year-old namesake.

On Thursday, Wilson posted a picture of himself and the younger Future standing next to each other on Folsom Field after the QB invited some of his teammates to take the trip up to Boulder for a private practice he recently held at the University of Colorado.

Sure, the timing could simply be a coincidence, but I like to believe Wilson knew exactly what he was doing.
