Shohei Ohtani Hits Mammoth Walk-Off Home Run On His Own Bobblehead Night To Keep Dodgers Undefeated

We all know just how good Los Angeles Dodger Shohei Ohtani is. He’s one of the greatest players to ever play the game of baseball, and the Dodger is truly an international cultural phenomenon.

The two-way player is picking up right where he left off after a historic 50/50 seasosn last year. On Wednesday, he socked the most dramatic home run of the Major League season yet, walking off the Atlanta Braves to keep the Dodgers perfect at 8-0.

Ohtani was off to a solid start in 2025 through seven games, coming into Wednesday with two homers and an OPS of just under .1000 with more walks than strikeouts.

The Dodgers rallied back from a 5-0 deficit against the surprisingly winless Atlanta Braves to tie the game at 5 on a two-run Max Muncy double with two outs in the bottom of the 8th. After they kept the Braves off the board in the top of the 9th, Ohtani came up to bat with one out in the bottom half of the inning with a chance to end the game. He did just that.

Not only that, but it was his own bobblehead night.

Ohtani is an absolute phenom. He hasn’t returned to pitching yet after Tommy John surgery in 2023. But, when he does, and it should be soon, he will be even more valuable to the Dodgers than he was during his MVP season last year.
