South Carolina QB Spencer Rattler kept boosting his NFL Draft stock with an impressive showing in Mobile, AL. The passer capped a productive week at the Senior Bowl by winning MVP honors.

He was perfect on the field Saturday while representing the American team, but his off-field leadership has also been noted. Spencer Rattler continues to impress!

The signal caller’s character was often questioned early in his career, not only for his presence on the QB1 Netflix television series, but also for his reaction to being benched at Oklahoma.

That narrative’s changed over the last few seasons as he’s matured both on and off the field.

Rattler worked hard to flip that script after transferring to South Carolina, and he’s now become a role model as opposed to a distraction.

At the Senior Bowl this week, the passer’s been given the opportunity to display that leadership to NFL scouts and coaches firsthand, having conversations with organizations ahead of Aprils’ draft.

He even teased a possible destination after making a strong connection with one notable team at the event.

While Rattler’s worked to transform those off-field concerns, the on-field talent has never been in question. On Saturday, he put on a show in limited action for his American squad.

Spencer Rattler was a perfect 4-4, throwing for 65 yards and a score.

Despite being named MVP, he remained humble in a postgame interview by not only accepting the award but highlighting his teammates in the process.

“It means a lot,” he said. “We put in a lot of hard work this week. It’s not just for me, it’s for the American squad. We fought our butts off today and I had a great week with the guys.”

On his touchdown pass, he continued that praise.

“It felt good. We got the look we wanted. Had a great receiver out wide, they played one-on-one, I just put it up and he made a great play.”

Now, attention is turned to the NFL Draft with Rattler planning to head back home and immediately begin training.

His stock is certainly rising this offseason, with some going as far as to name in QB1 in the draft class.

Whether or not he’ll be a first-round pick is yet to be seen, but whoever lands the passer looks like they’ll get a mature leader with boatloads of ability.
