It took Tom Brady less than six weeks to realize that he isn’t done playing football just yet. The 44-year-old announced his retirement on the first of February and on the 14th of March, he announced his un-retirement.

After Brady let the world know that he had unfinished business, everybody and their mother had something to say. Whether it was NFL teams and players, Bridget Moynahan, or Tom Brady Sr., the reactions were mixed, but mostly excited that the G.O.A.T. is back.

As for Brady’s wife, Gisele Bündchen, she was publicly thrilled for her husband, even while everybody made the same joke about their relationship.

But how does Gisele Bündchen really feel about Tom Brady coming out of retirement?

A new report from Vanessa Etienne of People gives some insight into how things went down between Brady, his wife, and his family.

According to the report, Bündchen is 100% on-board with Brady’s decision to return. While she initially hoped that he would stay retire and spend more time with the family, the decision for him to return to football was one made by the entire family — not just the seven-time Super Bowl winner.

“Gisele has been vocal about wanting him to retire for years but she’s also his biggest cheerleader. He would never do it if she weren’t on board,” a source told People. “Everything they do they decide as a family.”

While Bündchen is excited for Brady, that doesn’t mean that she doesn’t have some hesitation. She reportedly has a persistent fear that her husband will get hurt and has been hoping that he would retire already for a few years, especially after winning the Super Bowl in 2020.

“She wants Tom to be happy, but she is always worried about him getting injured,” another source told People.

If Brady is retired, he can’t get hurt. If he is playing, that fear comes rushing back.

For now, at least during the 2022/23 season, Bündchen will have to conquer her fears once again. Brady is back!
