New Trailer Of HBO’s Andre The Giant Documentary Shows Highs And Lows Of Iconic Wrestler
Andre the Giant stood at a commanding at 7’4″ and weighed 520 pounds, making him literally and figuratively one of the biggest sports stars in recent memory. Tomorrow marks 25 years since André René Roussimoff died at the age of 46-years-old from acromegaly also known as gigantism. To commemorate the “Eighth Wonder of the World,” there will be an HBO documentary about the life and times of Andre the Giant. Two months ago we got a teaser trailer for the documentary and now we get a full-length trailer of the doc celebrating the life of the bigger-than-life wrestler.
The film was created by the Bill Simmons Media Group and hopes to follow the success of the “30 for 30” docs have had. The documentary follows Andre and his humble beginnings in France to his legendary wrestling career to his short time in Hollywood including The Princess Bride. The synopsis of the film is as follows: “Andre the Giant was literally the biggest celebrity in the world. HBO Sports, WWE, and the Bill Simmons Media Group present Andre The Giant, a documentary examining the life and career of one of the most beloved figures in wrestling history.”
