UGA commit Nate Frazier is going viral thanks to his incredible speed and play making abilities. The nation’s top ranked running back might just be the next big play threat lining up in Athens.

A senior at Mater Dei in Santa Ana, California, the ball carrier is set to suit up for the Bulldogs in 2024 as they continue to reload their backfield.

Georgia is never lacking of tailback talent, seeing superstars like Todd Gurley, Nick Chubb, D’Andre Swift, and Sony Michel suit up over the last decade. The rushers have continued a legacy in the Peach State, following in the footsteps of Herschel Walker, Garrison Hearst, and Terrell Davis.

The ‘Dawgs seem to stockpile the country’s best running backs year after year, and it looks like 2024 will be no different.

Nate Frazier is considered the No. 1 player at the position and a Top 20 prospect in the current recruiting cycle, and despite the West Coast ties, he’ll be headed to UGA to play for two-time national champion Kirby Smart.

Running back wasn’t always in the cards for Frazier, who began his high school career at wide receiver and safety. Injuries forced him to the backfield, a situation that couldn’t have worked out better.

“It’s crazy how it all worked out. But I’ve grown to love running back now, and I’m definitely passionate about it.”

In his junior year, he totaled 693 yards and eight touchdowns while splitting time with another player. As a senior, he’s showcasing his talents, most notably, his incredible speed.

UGA commit Nate Frazier blows by high school defenses.

In a game earlier this season, Frazier was clocked at 21.7 MPH as he raced past would-be defenders on his way to the endzone.

Also a track star, he’ll soon bring that speed and explosiveness to the Georgia offense. For reference’s sake, Tyreek Hill AKA “Cheetah,” has been clocked at similar in-game speeds with the Miami Dolphins this year.

That might just make him the fastest player on the roster, or at least in the running back room, upon stepping foot on campus next fall.

The ‘Dawgs always have talent in the backfield, but Nate Frazier might be a name to remember come 2024.
