Bengals Coach Zac Taylor’s Wife Goes Above And Beyond To Organize Well Wishes For Damar Hamlin

All anyone around the NFL has talked about the last four days is the health status of Buffalo Bills defensive back Damar Hamlin.

Hamlin suffered a terrifying incident on Monday night when he suffered a sudden cardiac arrest during Buffalo’s game against the Cincinnati Bengals.

Medical professionals proceeded to give Hamlin CPR for nine minutes. He was then resuscitated via AED and taken to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center. Thankfully, Hamlin has since made huge strides toward a miraculous recovery.

The NFL postponed and eventually canceled the pivotal game between the Bills and Bengals. But the incident has helped bring the two AFC contenders closer together.

Bengals coach Zac Taylor had a key role in getting the game postponed with Bills coach Sean McDermott. Now it appears Taylor’s wife, Stacy, is also trying to play her part.

Taylor’s four children attend Cardinal Pacelli catholic school in Cincinnati. It’s there where she began a drive to collect letters of support began. The drive has since expanded to over 40 schools according to ESPN’s Ben Baby.

Sarah Taylor is leading the charge of grade-school students in Cincinnati who are writing get-well cards for the Bills safety, who remains hospitalized at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center.

Approximately 40 schools are among those writing well-wishes for Hamlin, who suffered a cardiac arrest during Monday’s game between the Cincinnati Bengals and the Buffalo Bills.

Doctors said Thursday that they hope Hamlin’s next step will be to begin breathing on his own. The Bills’ star regained consciousness late Wednesday night and was communicating nonverbally with family and doctors.

Doctors also reported that Hamlin appears to be neurologically intact, which is huge news as he begins his road to recovery. Thankfully, it’s a road he clearly won’t have to walk alone.
