Firenado Sucks Fire Hose Into The Vortex While Throwing Burning Logs At The Firemen

The Fire Tornado, or Firenado, is one of the most awesome and terrifying spectacles to behold in nature. This latest firenado is one of the craziest I’ve ever seen online because it not only grabs the firemen’s fire hose and pulls it into the vortex it also repeatedly threw burning logs at the crew fighting the fire.

Before the Internet, the chances of a non-firefighter ever seeing a firenado in their lifetime was slim to none. I’ve never seen one in person. In fact, I haven’t seen more than a handful of fires that weren’t controlled. I guess that’s probably because I’ve spent most of my life living on the East Coast vs West Coast where we don’t get too many wildfires over here.

Everything about this firenado is nuts.

You could tell me that this was extra footage from the Captain Marvel trailer that just hit the Internet and I might believe you. I’ve never seen a tornado steal a firemen’s hose before, especially not a fire tornado, and I’ve never seen firemen get pelted with flaming logs while trying to recover their hose

The clip isn’t long at all but there are GIFs and reactions below as well. Also, I’m not sure if I mentioned above but this took place in British Columbia.

This is the original video.

Here’s a GIF you can add to your collection.

This video adds some text to give it a little more context.

This dude’s reaction pretty much sums up my thoughts about this fire tornado. Complete disbelief over what happened.

I guess I don’t know the first thing about fire hoses. I played poker last weekend with a local fireman and can’t wait for the next poker night to grill him on why this happened and what made it so hard for the rescuers to recover that firehose.

Meanwhile, it appears as if ‘wildfire season’ is now 12 months long. There was a time when we’d only see wildfires ravaging the West for a couple months out of the year but with changing climates it seems like this is now a year-round occurrence. Great.
