Friends hasn’t had a new show since May 6, 2004. That’s 5,383 days ago (as of today). And yet, it is still one of the most popular shows on Netflix. We know this thanks to the uprising that Netflix caused when it was rumored that they were dropping it.

Instead, Netflix paid around $100 million for the rights to continue streaming the show through the end of 2019. Which is about one-tenth of the $1 billion Warner Bros. makes annually from reruns of the show.

Which all comes together to explain why, 5,383 days later, fans of the show are still discovering things in the show that most people who watched Friends 15 to 25 years ago had no clue existed.

Like, for example, these very creepy red eyes looming in the background of season 4, episode 18, “The One with Rachel’s New Dress.”

In this episode, Rachel tries to make her boyfriend Joshua’s parents believe that the lingerie she’s wearing is actually just a new dress.

However, while that was going on, a pair of red eyes on a statue in Joshua’s parents’ bedroom appear in the background in the dark only to vanish a few seconds later.

Little known fact: The actor who played Rachel’s boyfriend Joshua, Tate Donovan, and Jennifer Aniston actually dated for two years and had to act together in scenes after they had broken up.

“I was just happy to be on the team. The only bummer was Jennifer and I were breaking up at the time,” Donovan, 54, recalls exclusively to Us Weekly. “And so that was tricky to sort of act, and act like we are just meeting each other, and falling in love, or whatever, interested in each other, when we’re sort of breaking up. That was just tough.”
