Based on their actions, Ariana Grande and Pete Davidson are still reeling from their sudden breakup following their whirlwind romance and engagement. Davidson bailed on a comedy gig and Ariana quit social media following the announcement of their split on Sunday.
Davidson pulled out last-minute from the “Comedy Night Live” event in Philadelphia on Wednesday. The Saturday Night Live star will skip out on the comedy event at Temple University due to “personal reasons” according to TMZ. Temple students are not totally not up shit creek without a paddle because Adam DeVine of Workaholics fame will replace Davidson at the comedy show.
Meanwhile, Ariana is not about to let the breakup stop her from her responsibilities. On Tuesday, Grande taped a performance of The Wizard and I from the Wicked Broadway show for the upcoming NBC special A Very Wicked Halloween. She wrote on Instagram: “Honored to be included in this celebration of 15 years of my favorite musical of all time wouldn’t miss it for the whole universe #wicked15.”

“Can’t believe I almost let my anxiety ruin this for me today!” Ariana said in an Instagram Story. “Not today Satan! Not tomorrow or the next day either not no more u can suck my big green d— finna sing my heart out and be a big walking vessel of love bye.”

Eagle-eyed commenters noticed that Grande’s finger had a band-aid on it to cover up the ink that said “Pete,” one of her many tattoos dedicated to Davidson. She’s going to need a lot more band-aids.

Ariana also said that she will quit social media temporarily. “Time to say bye bye again to the internet for jus a lil bit,” Grande wrote in a since-deleted Instagram Story message on Tuesday. “It’s hard not to bump news n stuff that I’m not tryna see rn. It’s very sad and we’re all tryin very hard to keep goin. Love u. And thank u for bein here always.” Davidson had already deleted his Instagram account last week.
The pop star was not seen with her $100,000 engagement ring because she already returned the massive ring to Davidson. But Grande did win custody of their teacup pig named Piggy Smallz.
There are rumors that the celebrity couple breakup was caused by the lack of support that Davidson gave Grande after the sudden death of her ex Mac Miller.
