50 Cent Issued An Apology To The Mentally Disabled Airport Worker He Mocked For Being ‘High As A Motherf*cker’

50 Cent has apologized for a video he posted to his 8.4 million Twitter followers which shows him mocking a Cincinnati airport janitor, claiming he looked “high as a motherfucker.”  Turns out, the 19-year-old suffers from mild autism and suffers from ‘extreme social difficulties.’

The incident sparked widespread outrage against 50 and support for the victim, Andrew Farrell.

While it was initially reported that Andrew’s family was seeking financial compensation for the incident, attorney Matthew J. Hammer said that “the family only wants a sincere apology from Mr. Jackson.”

Today, in a statement to Page Six, 50 issued the below apology:

“While the incident at the airport resulted from an unfortunate misunderstanding, I am truly sorry for offending the young man. It was certainly not my intent to insult him or the disability community, which is a source of great strength in America. I have apologized personally to him and his family.”

That’s nice of 50, but a simple apology doesn’t suffice when you’re rich and famous (He may be bankrupt but there’s no denying the dude has stacks). 50 should send the kid to Disney World or a WWE event or hook Andrew up with a dope ass gold chain with his initials on it. For all we know, this could have been a statement issued by his publicist. Once money is put on the line, we’ll know who the apology is coming from. Do more, 50. Do more.

Matt’s love of writing was born during a sixth grade assembly when it was announced that his essay titled “Why Drugs Are Bad” had taken first prize in D.A.R.E.’s grade-wide contest. The anti-drug people gave him a $50 savings bond for his brave contribution to crime-fighting, and upon the bond’s maturity 10 years later, he used it to buy his very first bag of marijuana.
