The San Francisco 49ers are just days away from trying to win their sixth Super Bowl and their first since 1994.

But, they’re going to need to be at full strength for Sunday’s game if they want to beat the Kansas City Chiefs, who are looking for their second-consecutive Super Bowl.

Thankfully for San Francisco fans everywhere, they got some positive news on the injury front in the form of Wednesday’s practice report.

Star players in defensive lineman Arik Armstead and tight end George Kittle returned to the practice field in a limited fashion on Wednesday.

It’s not a big deal that they were only limited on Wednesday, especially since Head Coach Kyle Shanahan expects them to be full participants in a very important Thursday practice.

All-Pro tackle Trent Williams did not participate on Wednesday, but the 35-year-old often took off days in the middle of the week this season, and he should be good to go.

George Kittle, also an All-Pro, is battling a toe injury. Those can be incredibly scary, especially for skill players. He’s someone they absolutely have to have healthy due to his impact in the pass and run game.

Even though it’s the other side of the ball, Arik Armstead provides similar versatility to Kittle. The Oregon product can play nearly every spot on the defensive line, applying pressure from both the inside and the outside. He’s a huge chess piece for Steve Wilks, especially if the Chiefs are going to be without All-Pro guard Joe Thuney.

Super Bowl LVIII is this Sunday in Las Vegas, Nevada.
