Baker Mayfield is addicted to throwing ‘Horns Down.’ He can’t stop.

The limit does not exist. Especially this weekend in Dallas.

Baker Mayfield, who served as the guest picker for College GameDay on Saturday morning, was on the sideline to watch Oklahoma face Texas in the 119th Red River Rivalry game. His hatred runs very deep, and it’s not just because of his time in Norman.

The Longhorns did not recruit Mayfield out of high school, even though he grew up in Austin and put up big numbers on Friday nights while playing on their home field. That was the start of it all.

And then Mayfield ended up playing for their biggest rival, the Sooners. That just kicked things into overdrive.

After losing his first matchup against Texas, the 2017 Heisman Trophy winner went back-to-back to close out his collegiate career. He was never quiet in victory. Mayfield always let Texas know.

That trend has continued throughout the years, even as he lives in Austin today. Mayfield often likes to walk around the streets throwing ‘Horns Down’ just to spice things up and get the people going.

Saturday at the cricket-infested Cotton Bowl was no different!

Mayfield arrived to his guest picker appearance wearing a ‘Horns Down’ hat. His shirt depicted an image of himself after winning the Red River Rivalry game during his senior year.

Wherever Mayfield went, ‘Horns Down’ followed on his head. And then the in-stadium camera panned to the Buccaneers quarterback on the sideline.

Texas fans booed as he was shown on the jumbotron. Oklahoma fans cheered.

Mayfield, as could be expected, threw ‘Horns Down’ as soon as he saw himself on the screen, which only sent the crowd further into a frenzy. He can’t stop. He won’t stop. Horns Down forever!
