The Kansas City Chiefs are yet again at the center of a vehicle-based controversy this offseason.

Head coach Andy Reid is already dealing with the controversial commutation of his son Britt’s sentence for a DUI accident that left a young girl severely injured.

Now rising star wide receiver Rashee Rice is wanted by Dallas police after a multi-car hit-and-run accident involving a Lamborghini registered to Rice.

It is unknown if Rice was driving the vehicle at the time of the accident.

Lamborghini Registered To Rashee Rice Started Four-Car Crash In Dallas

“A Dallas police spokeswoman told the newspaper that a driver in a Chevrolet Corvette and a driver in a Lamborghini were speeding and both lost control of their vehicles, with the Lamborghini hitting the median wall and causing a chain reaction collision involving four other vehicles,'” ESPN reports.

The crash occurred around 6:20 p.m. local time Saturday in northeast Dallas. Police state that occupants of both the Corvette and the Lamborghini ran from the crash site.

Rice, 23, grew up outside of Dallas and played his college career in the city at SMU. Kansas City selected him in the second round of the 2023 NFL Draft.

He developed in a favorite target for superstar quarterback Patrick Mahomes as a rookie.

Rice caught 79 passes for 938 yards as a rookie. Both numbers were second-best on the team behind superstar tight end Travis Kelce. He led the team in touchdown catches with seven.

The rookie also made 26 catches for 262 yards and a touchdown in four playoff games as the Chiefs went on to win yet another Super Bowl.

Neither Rice nor the Kansas City Chiefs organization has issued a statement regarding the situation. Rice has also not yet been booked or charged by Dallas police.

Police say they do not know Rice’s level of involvement in the incident beyond the fact that the Lamborghini is under his name.
